Los Angeles FC manager Bob Bradley admits he still rues his premature Swansea sacking.

The former USA national team manager will lead LA's newest franchise into their first Major League Soccer campaign when it kicks off this week.

He remains the only man to lead a first-year MLS team to a championship following his time with Chicago Fire.

But Bradley did not manage similar short-term success in the Premier League and was sacked as Swansea boss after just 11 games in charge in December 2016.

"I loved the challenge of going to Swansea and I was determined to have a team that could play good football, that could attack, defend, I knew so much about the Swansea way," he told Sky Sports News.

"I was disappointed because I was trying to build that kind of team.

"We talked about players for the January transfer window, we didn't manage enough wins early and enough points early.

"I really felt given time the challenge of building a team that would represent Swansea was there and I was ready for it."
