MAUR TO GO

According to Oddschecker, the money is going on the Spurs boss to replace Julen Lopetegui

Odds on Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino becoming the next Real Madrid boss have shortened from 25/1 to 7/2.

The move in the market comes with ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte seemingly being ruled out of the job and drifting from 1/7 to 3/1 for the role.

Pochettino has begun to appear disgruntled this season, despite a good start to the Premier League campaign, and could possibly be tempted to move on.

He currently feels the club aren’t focussed on winning titles and it could see him swap England for Spain for the right deal.

In the meantime Santiago Solari, a former player at the Bernabeu, is favourite to replace Lopetegui as he takes on the interim position.

Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek: ‘Pochettino is a manager held in high regard around the globe and it appears he is starting to conclude Tottenham cannot match his ambitions.

“He has, however, always laughed off questions about moves away from the North London club, so I wouldn’t be worrying too much if i was a Spurs fan. Yet, anyway.”

Elsewhere, Roberto Martinez, reportedly wanted by Thibaut Courtois, come in at 16/1, ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger at 12/1, and Real Madrid legend Guti’s odds are 25/1.
